Set Me Free

I can pretend like I don’t need anyone

Like I can do this on my own

But I know I can’t do anything without your powerful hand moving in my life

I can pretend like I’m good

I can fool everybody if I wanted to,

But deep down I know I need this brokenness to be healed inside

The truth is…

This battle is too much for me to bare

This season is too big to walk it alone

Lord, I need you to deliver & set me free

I’m too afraid to trust you

I don’t even pray like I used to

But I know I need to draw near to you

You are my Father

You are my Lord & Savior

You are my King

You are my Redeemer

You are my Friend

Please don’t let me go

Walk with me until the end….

I can act like I haven’t sinned against you

And maybe that’s why I’m too afraid to face the truth

But you’re a loving and forgiving God

Who is slow to anger

You are faithful, gracious

and you give new mercies

I’m blessed to be your daughter

I can act like I’m not in need

of spiritual healing

But the pruning was needed to bring forth

Righteous fruit

My soul was in need of deep cleansing

As much as it hurts, the pain & suffering

will increase my faith in you

your ways will always prevail
